Per le tastiere elettroniche che possiedono un ingresso denominato "SUSTAIN", l'FC4 viene utilizzato nello stesso modo in cui il pedale sustain è usato nei pianoforti acustici. Una base di gomma appositamente progettata aderisce al pavimento rimanendo in posizione durante l'esecuzione. L'FC4 può inoltre essere utilizzato come un FS controller per sintetizzatori, moduli audio e batterie elettriche.
