Description

  • Experience the authentic feeling of real piano playing

Yamaha continues the evolution of hybrid piano technology with the NU1X. The NU1X stands for the fusion of traditional craftsmanship with digital innovation. You can discover a completely new type of piano that exceeds all expectations. Music comes to life because the demands of a pianist can be combined with the possibilities of an outstanding instrument.

  • Legendary grand piano sample

Playing an AvantGrand means having the choice between two legendary concert grand pianos: the Yamaha CFX and the Bösendorfer Imperial. Whether you prefer the rich timbre presence of the CFX or the warm, sonorous Viennese sound of the Imperial: Both sounds are just a touch of a button away.

  • The authentic feel of a grand piano pedal

The NU1X has a damper pedal that, just like a grand piano pedal, makes subtle changes to the sound. This means that you can use the same half-pedal effects on the NU1X as on a concert grand piano, which gives you detailed control over damping and reverberation.

  • The perfect headphone experience

The headphone connection is not just a matter of form on the NU1X. Thanks to Yamaha's binaural sampling technology, the piano sound is displayed realistically through headphones. This technology uses piano samples recorded with special microphones that mimic the interaural properties of the human ear. A unique approach that realistically reproduces the sound of a concert grand through headphones. Sound so natural, so perfect that you'll forget you're wearing headphones. (only available with the CFX Grand Voice)

  • Fascinating elegance that fits into any room

The NU1X impresses with its simple elegance. So it fits into any room design and thus brings elegant nobility without appearing imposing. With the warm sound and outstanding playability from the AvantGrand series, the NU1X shows itself in natural warmth and at the same time compact presence.

  • Smart integration

Under the user-friendly control panel of the NU1X, pianists discover individually usable connection options and interfaces. The aim of the technician was the optimal functionality in the service of the musician. The instrument can be connected directly to a computer and mobile devices via the USB port and also supports the pianist as an audio Bluetooth receiver and also enables one with the optional WiFi adapter wireless connection to iOS apps.

The superb natural feel of a real piano action

The NU1X represents the next evolution in hybrid piano technology melding the Yamaha pedigree of unparalled piano craft with progressive digital innovation. Employing a real acoustic upright piano action that intuitively connects player and piano, the NU1X offers a gratifying dynamic experience. The result is an instrument that not only pays tribute to its acoustic counterpart but exceeds all expectations.
Legendary piano samples

To play an AvantGrand means access to the actual sound profile of two legendary concert grands: the Yamaha CFX and the Bösendorfer Imperial. Whether you prefer the bold, expansive palette of the CFX, or the warm, rich Vienna tones of the Imperial, switching between the two is simple.
Virtual Resonance Modelling

In a grand piano, sound resonates throughout the body of the instrument, producing a rich reverberation that envelops the listener in sound. This phenomena is repro- duced perfectly in the NU1X through Virtual Resonance Modelling (VRM), which calculates the various states of the strings for each of the 88 notes on the keyboard from one instant to the next, allowing vivid, richlyvaried expression that reflects the limitless number of factors inherent in playing the piano such as which keys are pressed, the strength with which the keys are played and pedal timing.
Even headphones produce a larger than life experience

Headphone connectivity wasn't just an added formality for the NU1X. Thanks to our advanced binaural sampling technology, the sound you hear through your head- phones is remarkably lifelike. This technology uses piano samples recorded by specialized microphones that capture locational information and other nuances discerned by the human ear. The resulting sound is so natural, so enveloping, that you'll soon forget you're even wearing headphones at all. (CFX Grand Voice only)
Intelligent connectivity and integration

Behind its simple control panel, the NU1X hosts an abundance of connectivity options for maximum functionality and integration with external devices. It can be connected directly to computers and mobile devices via USB, sound and recording systems via audio cables, act as a Bluetooth receiver, and integrate with iOS apps via WiFi.
