It designs and produces products for professional studio recording, mixing and mastering applications, broadcast, and movie production. The company was founded 1978. The benefit of Genelec's point-source designs makes it possible to have a full frequency range and an almost total exclusion of the room sound, with headphone-like clarity and resolution but much better stereo imaging.
