These new Remo Emperor SMT bass heads feature a pre-damped design with Sub Muffl Technology, an external damping profile that includes a free-floating acoustic foam ring. This improvement takes a lot of time and guesswork out of getting the ideal amount of tone and sustain out of your bass drum. The head itself is made up of two separate 7mm and 5mm thick layers that retain a large amount of low frequencies with carefully controlled mid and high frequencies. The Remo Emperor SMT bass drum heads are suitable for a variety of moods and genres, making it easier than ever to sculpt the ideal bass drum sound.
