The cardioid polar pattern prevents crosstalk between multiple microphones positioned close together. Using an infinitely adjustable screw clamp, the microphone can be securely attached directly to the clamping ring of a variety of drum and percussion instruments. The elastic external mounting reliably isolates the transmission of disturbing structure-borne noise. A removable gooseneck stabilizer fixes the gooseneck at a predetermined angle. The integrated bass cut switch (only on C 518 M ) enables acoustic adjustment to various instruments. The special adapter A 400 enables easy connection to AKG pocket transmitters.
