Koch Supernova 6060 (Head 2x60W)

The amps from the Dutch company Koch are no longer an insider tip. Good tube sound, flexible and in a fair price range - these are the most important information in advance. With the Supernova 6060 Koch is now introducing its new flagship. An all-rounder that claims to be able to do everything very well, and not, like many previous attempts by other companies, to do everything but nothing really well. Plus in stereo (which of course only makes sense in conjunction with stereo effects, as the good old electric guitar has remained in mono to this day). Sophisticated circuit technology means that the 5 channels (with 4 independent tone controls) really do what they are supposed to. A clean channel for really clean sounds that you can almost only create in the studio, but also for tried and tested American fat and shine; a crunch channel that lets you hear smacking blues sounds or early British sounds, channel 3 delivers the traditional crunch and lead sounds that you know and love from old Fenders and Marshalls. Channel 4 brings the modern lead department with fat sounds, which don't lack any highs and remain nice and tight in the bass range. Channel 5 is the high-flyer and delivers the 4 sounds with even more gain and sustain until the day after tomorrow (that scene in the Spinal Tap film immediately comes to mind...), plus voicing switches to precisely adjust your own sound ideas (Low - Mid shift - Bright - High Cut), a second master, of course also switchable and simply mandatory live (once you get used to it...). Flexibility is the order of the day and is also reflected in the effect loop (plural, there are two of them and they can be connected in series or parallel). A 3-way speaker attenuation (high, medium, low) adapts the sound optimally to the speakers and taste. In order to get all the possibilities under control (better yet, step), you can choose between the FS6 bar or the MIDI bar. The latter of course allows far more switching options (e.g. voicing switches for each channel), but most people will be able to get along just fine with the normal pedal. Is this really the all-rounder that also sounds good? Almost looks like it; In any case, the competition will have a lot to think about.
