Description

  • RAILHAMMER CARTRIDGES

Rails under the wound strings for tight bass. Poles under the unwound strings for crisp highs. This revolutionary design from Reverend founder Joe Naylor delivers exceptional clarity and punch.

  • STRiNG_THROUGH-STEG

String-thru body design and stainless steel saddles for a percussive response that offers maximum sustain and a sounding, solid tone.

  • LOW-PROFILE ROTARY CONTROL / BASS CONTOUR

All controls have the classic, flat shape and are made of chrome. With the passive bass contour you can tighten the bass range or re-voicen the pickups. Variable pickup voicing by turning the potentiometer

  • PIN-LOCK TUNER

A thumbwheel under the tuner pushes a steel pin up through the post and locks the string in place for exceptional tuning stability and super-fast string changes.

  • SIGNED HEADSTOCK

Each Reverend is signed by hand on the back of the headstock by one of our highly qualified technicians who adjust, inspect and test all instruments.

  • CHAMBERED CORINA BODY

Korina (also known as white limba) is a medium-weight wood that is highly valued for its consistency and tonal properties. It's a key factor in creating our vibrant, responsive, and overtone-rich instruments. The BC-1 has strategic chambers under the pickguard to create even more resonance and reduce weight.

  • BONEITE SADDLE

We use "Boneite", a synthetic saddle material that is more durable than natural bone. It reduces friction so the strings can slide smoothly through the saddle notches, thus improving tuning stability.

  • TRIPLE-TREE

This patent-pending string tree has an extended axle to hold three strings at the same time, preventing the G-string from buzzing in the saddle notch

  • DUAL ACTION COLLAR ROD

Our dual action rod can be adjusted in both directions, which enables backward or forward curvature. This ensures that the correct setting range is possible regardless of the string tension, extreme climatic conditions or the effects of long-term aging. It is also attached to the headstock for easy access.

  • SIX FIXED SCREWED NECK PLATE

Two additional bolts increase the contact pressure of the neck by fifty percent. This creates a stronger neck joint that improves sustain, tuning stability, and neck alignment

  • ANGLED NECK HEEL

All Reverend solid body guitars in the Bolt-On series have a flat, angled neck heel. This improves comfort and hand access when reaching high altitude!

  • SELF-DEVELOPED SOCKET PLATE

Our specially developed socket plate has four instead of two fastening screws. The additional screws prevent the plate from tearing out of the body. The laser-engraved steel logo ensures durability and adds an extra touch of class!

  • PURE TONE JACK

All Reverends use an improved jack from Pure Tone Technologies. A standard socket has single contacts, but the Pure Tone socket has double contacts for improved grip, a pristine audio signal and absolute reliability. The best guitar jack on the market.

  • TREBLE BLEED CIRCUIT

All Reverend guitars have a treble bleed circuit that doesn't attenuate the treble when you turn down the volume control. If you turn down a standard volume control, the sound loses treble and sounds dull. Now you can turn yourself down and still sound good!

  • 10% POTS

We use alpha potentiometers with a tolerance of + -10%. While a typical pot has + -20% tolerance, our regulators are built to stricter specifications, which makes them more consistent. Typically used in expensive boutique guitars, but standard on all Reverends.

  • 10% POLY CAPS

We use capacitors with a tolerance of + -10%, where usual capacitors have a tolerance of + -20%. Our capacitors are made to stricter specifications so they are more consistent. Made from polyester, they are also more durable and less sensitive to temperature than cheaper ceramic caps. Typically used in expensive boutique guitars

  • PLAYED BY

Billy Corgan / The Smashing Pumpkins

When you set out to do something this epic, you don't repeat yourself. A fresh design with classic and modern elements that come together in a unique way. The raised center section with thinner wings and strategic chambers under the pickguard add resonance and reduce weight, while a string-thru body bridge provides maximum sustain and percussive attack. Railhammer Billy Corgan Signature Pickups meld P90 snap with humbucker chunk, and no hum! And, finally, the body is topped with a segmented aluminum pickguard for a modern, yet timeless look. Let this guitar inspire you.

Brand

Reverend Guitars began quietly, in a garage behind a bicycle shop in East Detroit in 1997. Joe Naylor drew upon his years of study in Industrial Design, Lutherie School, and professional vintage guitar repair to create the first Reverend Guitar. It was unusual in its design, but what impressed most people was the attention to detail that Joe put into the instrument. The brand has now grown to encompass a global presence and has garnered the attention of rock stars, working musicians, journalists, and kingmakers from all across the industry. Reverend offers many shapes and styles of guitars and basses, but the one thing that remains the same is the professional quality that's available for everyone - whether you're selling out amphitheaters or playing in your living room. Currently based in Toledo, Ohio, Reverend is run by Ken and Penny Haas. All of the guitars are expertly designed by Joe Naylor, proudly manufactured in South Korea by boutique guitar manufacturer Mirr Music, and meticulously set up by our tech team - lead by Zach Green who initials each one before it goes out the door. From the well-known to the unknown, players of all stripes are impressed because Reverend pays attention to what makes an instrument the kind of instrument players want to play. And that, by the way, is where Reverend's attention will always lie.
